Guidelines for Required Approval of Construction, Additions, Renovations or
Other Exterior Improvements (Including the Lot)
- All plans submitted for new
construction, additions or renovations must be original blueprints with
an engineering stamp. No white-outs or hand drawn changes are allowed.
All plans submitted must include a completed and signed Architectural
Control Application, which follows this instruction sheet. All plans
for new construction must also include a check for $2000.00 to cover
$200 for three (3) inspections, $235 for review and administrative fees
and a $250 Environmental Impact Fee (EIF). The EIF applies only to
canal lots. On a non-canal lot the refund with no violations should be
$1565. If on a canal lot the refund should be $1315. All other
improvements the application fee is $1000, with the amount being fully
refundable provided no fines or violations. If a dumpster is provided
as required by the City of Galveston and the ACC, and the construction
site is kept clean and free of debris, the deposit amount will be
returned to the property owner. If, however, it becomes necessary for
the HOA to clean the site, the deposit will be retained to cover the
cost of clean up. Please see the application for fees and applicable

Management Company for Isla del Sol which is C.K.M. Property Management,

- All requests submitted to the
Management Company, C.K.M. Property Management, Inc. before the 5th of
each month will be submitted to the next meeting of the Board of
Directors of Isla Del Sol. (It is the intention of the Board to meet
monthly if requests have been submitted.)
- Board of Directors will meet and
review the request. The Board will then determine whether the
request is approved, approved with modification, or denied.
- Owners will be notified by the
Management Company within 5 days following the Board meeting when the
requests were reviewed, regarding the Board's decision.
- Any and all correspondence must
be submitted to the Management Company. Plans and requests will
not be approved without a meeting of the Board. Construction,
additions, renovations, or modifications may commence only AFTER owner
had received written approval from the Management Company.
