Synopsis of Meeting Held
Saturday, June 7, 2008
The meeting was called to order by President Mark McQuiller at his home on Saturday, June 7, 2008. A quorum was established with the following present: Vicki Atkins, Mark McQuiller, Joseph Santangelo, David Pearson, Micki Tamborello, and Susan Gonzales from CKM property management.
Boat Deck/Fishing Pier-bids were reviewed from three contractors. The decision of which to award the contract to has been put on hold until the board can confirm the amount of liability insurance carried by each contractor.
Maintenance/Landscape-Micky Tamborello has agreed to be the point person in future dealing with the landscape contractor Heric Maintenance. The “Yard of the Month” sign has worn out and the committee has decided to order a new sign and renew the process of picking the outstanding yard of the month.
Social Committee-The board has suggested that a bulletin board be obtained and placed near the mail boxes to inform the Isla Residents of upcoming events. This was suggested by Mark McQuiller. Micky Tamborello has offered to help with the design and look into the construction along with Susan Gonzales from the property management company.
Swimming Pool-At the yearly meeting several homeowners asked about the possibility of a pool for the subdivision. After reviewing the subdivision plot, it has been determined that there is no land available for a pool within the Isla Del Sol grounds. This fact will be shared with those property owners that requested a pool be considered.
Financial Report/Deed Restrictions-was given by Susan Gonzales to bring the new board members up to date on all financial matters and problems concerning deed restrictions.
Website Administration-Mark McGuiller appointed Kathy Hood to help in this position.
Minutes from the last meeting were not reviewed at this meeting as they were not available.
Joe Santangelo has agreed to continue with anything concerning the Marsh Restoration process as well as be the point person for the sign needs of the subdivision. Joe is in the process of obtaining new signs about licensed drivers only for golf carts and all dogs must me on leashes signs.
All board members signed the new conflict of interest policy.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 AM.
